Charges Dropped Against Fetish Models Accused of Animal Cruelty

MIAMI — Charges were dropped against two South Florida adult performers accused of animal cruelty for allegedly torturing and killing animals in fetish porn videos, CBS Miami reported today.

The state of Florida dismissed charges against porn performers Gloria Shynez (nee Sara Zamora) and Megan Jones (nee Stephanie Hird) in court today after the pair pleaded not guilty at their respective arraignments last month.

Zamora had been charged with eight felony counts of animal cruelty and Hird was charged with five counts for allegedly torturing and killing animals in “animal crush” fetish videos, in which animals were killed and mutilated while the models participated in sex acts.

Miami-Dade police said both women shot the videos for Adam Redford, a South Florida fishing boat captain who is described as a fetish pornographer who specializes in animal "crush" torture.

Redford was arrested last year in Florida after PETA brought law enforcement's attention to his videos. He recently concluded probation for misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

Defense attorney Lody Jean told CBS that the state might have chosen not to prosecute because the statute of limitations had run out on the 3rd degree felony since the incident reportedly occurred in 2006 and 2007.

Zamora argued that she was manipulated by Redford, saying she was only 18 years old when the videos were shot.

“Adam, I hope you get everything you deserve,” Zamora said after the court decided to dismiss the charges.

Zamora was accused of cutting a chicken’s neck using hedge clippers while participating in a sex act with a man, police said. She is also accused of karate-chopping several rabbits’ necks while they howled in pain.

Hird allegedly crushed live fish while wearing a revealing outfit, torturing rabbits, shooting rats and setting a pile of injured rodents on fire, according to a warrant from prosecutor Jason Pizzo and Miami-Dade Detective Mario Fernandez.
